For students

Write as usual. Get a receipt.

Sennel keeps a record of how you wrote your essay, so the work you did speaks for itself. One button to start, one to submit, and a receipt that says your essay is in.

§ 01What you do

Four things, three of which you already do.

§ 02The record

What is recorded, and what stays yours.

Sennel records the assignment document while you are working on it: what you type, revise, and paste, and when. Everything else on your computer stays yours.

Your receipt. When you submit, you get a receipt with the time and a copy of the exact file you handed in. Keep it.

Your instructor. Your instructor can see how the essay took shape, the way they might look over a draft with you. Findings point at passages and moments, and the decision is theirs.

§ 03Why it helps

Your work has a witness.

If a question ever comes up

There is a record of your writing to look at, and you have your receipt. Honest work gets an advocate.

The same for everyone

Every student in the course gets the same record, so decisions rest on what happened, and everyone is treated alike.

Nothing new to learn

You keep Word or Google Docs, your files, and your habits. Sennel adds one button at the start and one at the end.

Your copy, always

You keep the exact file you submitted, with the receipt that says when it went in.

§ 04Questions

Common questions.

Can I paste from my notes or outline?

Yes. Pasted text is recorded as arriving from outside, with its time and size. Follow the same rules your course already has for quotation and notes, and your instructor sees what happened.

What if my internet drops while I'm writing?

The record is kept on your computer while you write and delivered when the connection is back. Keep writing.

What does Sennel see on my computer?

The assignment document while you are working on it. Other documents, other apps, your browsing, and your passwords are outside the record.

What do I get when I submit?

A receipt with the time, and your own copy of the exact file you submitted.
